Weekly Game Update: September 11th - September 17th, 2022

Hey it’s another week! Somewhat of an unproductive one maybe, but oh well. Still kinda smokey outside, so I kind of wonder if that’s affecting my sleep. I’m pretty sensitive to dust and smoke so I wouldn’t be surprised :l Thankfully it’s much less smokey at least… just not fully gone.

Butternut and Honeybear having a bath after picking them up from their vet visit.

Some other going on things… My two kittens went to the vet to get spayed! Poor sweet babies. They’re doing fine, although Butternut is a bit more lethargic than usual. I think the pain medication wore off the other day, since she was particularly not feeling well for a bit. She’s doing better though! Honeybear is fine and still wants to zoom around like she normally does lol. We need to try and keep her calm so she can properly recover, but she’s not making it easy! Both of them should be fully recovered in about 2 weeks.

Also so much game stuff this week! Wow! That Nintendo Direct in particular really got me hyped for so many games. Great that there’s games that I’m interested in, but sucks because my wallet… Not to mention that there were other announcements that weren’t part of the Direct, like more Yakuza games (or I guess Like a Dragon now).

I could babble for so long about everything that I’m excited for but I don’t want to stay here typing here forever lol. I did make a video going over a lot of the Nintendo Direct stuff though, so you could watch that if you’re interested? It’s a bit lengthy though so maybe get a drink or skip around lol.

Anyway, other than that I did play some games lol. Mostly Genshin Impact (maybe a bit too much oop), but I did play some more Everybody’s Golf as well. Didn’t do any reading though, so I’ll be skipping updates for that. Alright, let’s now move on to the actual update!

Game Stuff

Added:
Ashes of Singularity: Escalation (Game Pass)
DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto & Ace (Game Pass)
Amazing Cultivation Simulator (Game Pass)
You Suck at Parking (Game Pass)

A Short Hike (Switch)*

*Got a Switch physical! Already had it on itch.io though so doesn’t count against my backlog.

Removed:
A Plague Tale: Innocence (Game Pass)
Mighty Goose (Game Pass)
Skate Bird (Game Pass)
I Am Fish (Game Pass)
Flynn: Son of Crimson (Game Pass)
Bug Fables (Game Pass)
Aragami 2 (Game Pass)

Bit sad I couldn’t get around to trying Mighty Goose and Skate Bird before they left Game Pass, but it is what it is I guess. I’m also interested in trying Bug Fables, but I knew I wouldn’t get a chance to try that one out cause it’s a RPG.

Started:
Nothing!

Finished:
Also nothing…

Current Games:
Astro Bot Rescue Mission (PS VR) - 0:45 (No change)
Everybody’s Golf (PS4) - 30:46 (+2:04)
Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) - 45:46 (No change)
Trails in the Sky FC (Steam) - 0:43 (No change)
Soul Hackers (3DS) - 1:41 (No change)
Stray (PS Plus) - 0:45 (No change)

Played But No Time Recorded:
Genshin Impact (PS5) - I hunted so many collectible doodads. Why? Um… I guess I felt the need to tick off some boxes I guess??

Everybody’s Golf

I didn’t work on any trophy stuff this week, but instead I decided to get all of the fish from the DLC courses. This doesn’t help me at all with the trophies, but I just felt like it I guess? I won’t be able to do it once the servers close though so… yeah.

It didn’t take too long though thankfully. There were a lot of fish that I already caught from the main courses, and there weren’t too many very difficult new fish either. One or two fishes gave me a slight amount of trouble, but not much compared to some of the other ones I’ve fished up.

Now that’s all done, I can return my focus to the stuff that actually has trophies tied to it lol.

Backlog Update

Backlog: 2255 (-3)
Time to Beat: 46,020 hrs (+530 hrs)

Wow, it’s a negative number! Amazing! Some of those Game Pass games were on the lengthier side though, since the time to beat certainly increased by a good chunk.

Regardless, the numbers don’t really bother me. I just kinda like seeing them go up and down lol.

And that’s it! Next week I (as usual) want to make more progress in Everybody’s Golf and Trails in the Sky. There’s a bit going on during the week, like how we’re finally getting a new washer/dryer (our current ones have been busted for a while ugh), but hopefully that shouldn’t impact my game plans. Not that I stick with game plans anyway, but I can dream I guess lol.
