Weekly Game Update: May 24th - May 28th, 2022

This week was fairly slow progress wise… I’ve been pretty busy and I’ve had some irritating medical stuff going on (it’s not COVID coming back for vengeance, thankfully) that had made me pretty tired. Regardless, this isn’t a whole week anyway but I want to try and get these up on Sundays. They haven’t often been on Sundays so I guess this is to fix that? I dunno lol.

Oh, and I also beat Pokemon Picross! I haven’t had a chance to put a review together for it yet, but hopefully I’ll get a chance to do that soon. Anyway, on to the updates!

Progress Updates

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Still on Chapter 6, so not really much to update on. Did some quests and unlocked a new area, but nothing really new story wise. I did fail one of the main missiony things though, which was a first. Thankfully on the second try I got it down with little trouble.

Backlog Update

Backlog: 1113 games (+85)
Time to beat: 1163 days, 5 hrs (+477 days, 6hrs)

The numbers continue to climb! I added some more of the Nintendo Switch Online and Xbox Game Pass games, but I also switched the time estimation to calculate based on average time to beat Main+. Previously I had set it to just be estimating time to beat Main Only, but I don’t think that always fits with my playstyle. I don’t always go for extras or 100% getting everything, but I think that I go out of my way to do some extra things enough of the time that I think this will be a better way to estimate my time to beat. It doesn’t really matter to much in the end, but I thought I’d make the change anyway lol.

That’s it! Not much this time, but hopefully I get some more YS IX playtime in! And maybe I’ll actually start a new game? I think next week will be busy too, so we’ll see lol.
