Welp, another month went speeding by lol. This time makes more sense to me though cause this month was so heavily focused on my wedding. I wouldn’t say that we were dashing to get things done, as we honestly had all of the big pieces good to go, but there’s just a lot! Thankfully it went very well, so all of that work wasn’t for nothing lol.

Gaming was hit pretty hard because of all that though. I wanted to play a lot more of my ongoing RPGs, but that requires brain power and I had very little to spare. I mostly played a bunch of Horizon Zero Dawn, which was fine enough for something to play when my brain was mush.

Oh and I also missed a few weekly updates cause of all that stuff too so… I guess this is both a month update and a two week update? Sorta? Hopefully I won’t have to do this again for a while since it’s a bit of a pain to do. Well either it’s a pain to do, or I’m just overheated cause my A/C broke over the weekend, during a heatwave in my area ._. Yay…

Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) - I beat this and got the platinum! :D I beat it on the day I made my last weekly update lol (July 19th). I’m still not heavily wowed by it (maybe too much hype killed that a bit?) but I enjoyed my time with it. I also shortly got the platinum trophy for this after cleaning up some of the collectibles. The collectibles were honestly much more interesting that most of the main game stuff lol. I’m still glad I played it though and I do want to check out Forbidden West at some point too.

Currently Playing

Everybody's Golf (PS4) - No further updates here. Still on rank 6. The grinding to get to rank 7 is such a drag, but I really need to push on this one if I want to get the platinum before the servers close :/

Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) - Yeah I know I beat it already, but I’m still playing it for the DLC and maybe getting the other trophies lol. Already finished the story part of the DLC, but there’s still quite a few sidequests and errands to do. Not really too difficult. However, the thing that I’m not sure about is whether or not I want to go for 100% trophies or not. The one trophy that worries me a bit is the one for beating the game on Ultra Hard. Apparently it’s not particularly difficult if you prepare for it and do it on a New Game+ file, but I really don’t play on harder difficulties all that much. I’m still waffling about it, so hopefully I can decide that at some point lol.

Trails in the Sky FC (Steam) - Still only at the very beginning ugh. Hopefully I make some progress here now that the wedding is done.

Soul Hackers (3DS) - Basically the same thing as Trails in the Sky :/

Stray (PS Plus) - I booted this up right when it released but I only got around to playing less than an hour of it. I didn’t need to start a new game but here I go…. Starting up new games when I really shouldn’t be lol. It’s a shorter game at least, but I might put it off for a bit until I’m finished with Horizon Zero Dawn. Not sure though.

Yay numbers! They’re not as bad as I thought they’d be tbh. I didn’t purchase/get a whole lot of games myself, but there were a lot of subscription games!

Most of the particularly beefy ones are from PS Plus (which I decided to subscribe to… maybe a bad idea XD) and really that’s only a few of them. I’m debating on whether or not I just add all of the available games into my backlog pile, like I did with the Xbox Game Pass Games… The more I think about it, the more my brain goes do it lol. So uh… The backlog numbers might go up by a lot, but we’ll see what I end up doing lol.

I was so hopeful that I’d be able to beat one of my goal games this month, but nope. Should have expected that with wedding stuff lol. Can I get one beat for August? Who knows lol.

What’s Next?

I definitly want to finish up with Horizon Zero Dawn, but I also really want to make some progress on those RPGs! It doesn’t have to be a lot lol!

It would be really nice if I could finish off Everybody’s Golf in August, but that really depends on how long the grindy bits take. The servers shut down in late September, so I’d prefer to just get the online parts done far before then if possible.

The other thing is that I just recently got a Playstation VR set and I really want to get that set up and play some VR games! I’m really excited to try it out since I’ve heard that it’s good for people with glasses (like me!). I’ve played a bit on an Oculus Rift before, but it was a big pain to get it to work properly on my face. It was also often a literal pain. On my face.

Anyway here’s hoping for a fun month in gaming! And hoping that my A/C gets fixed soon cause I’m dying here ughhhh
